Get ready for the first stop of Duchy’s Dirty Weekends — a fresh, festival-style metal detecting rally roadshow coming to Cornwall this September.

This weekend is proudly sponsored and supported by NOKTA and LP Metal Detecting. Nokta demonstration areas showcasing the new Legend 2. With NOKTA and LP involved, Weekend 1 will have a brilliant brand presence, machine knowledge, trader support and roadshow energy.

This is not just another weekend dig. This is the start of something new for the UK detecting community: exciting Cornwall land, on-site camping, traders, demos, food, music, a bar and proper community spirit.

Weekend 1 takes place from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th September, with camping arrival from 3pm on Thursday 10th September. All attendees must leave site by midday on Monday 14th September at the latest.

Ticket Information

Weekend Camping & Detecting Tickets: £75 per detectorist
Weekend Detecting Only Tickets: £65 per detectorist
Camping Only: £25 Per person
Children's Tickets: Under 13 - free

The Detecting

Weekend 1 will be held on 200+ acres of land, giving detectorists plenty of space to enjoy the weekend and make the most of the ground available.

Cornwall is a place many detectorists rarely get the chance to search, and that is what makes this roadshow so special. Fresh ground, exciting surroundings and a proper weekend atmosphere — all brought together for the detecting community.

Location 

Our event locations are now secured, and we are just finalising the running order for the September roadshow. As soon as the final weekend order is confirmed, exact location details and arrival instructions will be emailed to ticket holders.

As many detectorists will be travelling from across the UK, we will share the rough area as soon as possible so you can plan your journey and, if needed, arrange alternative accommodation nearby.

Family-Friendly Weekend

Duchy’s Dirty Weekends is designed to be a friendly, welcoming event for detectorists, partners and families. Whether you are coming for the detecting, the camping, the traders, the food, the music or simply the weekend atmosphere, we want everyone to feel part of it.

After a day in the field, the event area will be the place to relax, grab some food, enjoy a cold drink, listen to live music and catch up with friends old and new.

What’s Happening On Site?

We want Duchy’s Dirty Weekends to feel like a proper festival-style gathering for the metal detecting community, not just a field and a gate.

On site, you can expect:

• 200+ acres of detecting land

• On-site pop-up camping

• A family-friendly weekend atmosphere

• Large marquee and event area

• Food vans serving breakfast and evening food

• Bar for a cold pint or two after a day’s detecting

After a full day of swinging, digging and chasing those signals, you can head back to the event area, grab some food, enjoy a drink, chat with traders, catch up with friends and enjoy the evening atmosphere.

Traders, Brands & Demonstrations

Duchy’s Dirty Weekends will bring together some brilliant names from across the detecting world. Expect traders, dealers, brand areas and demonstration spaces where you can talk machines, compare kit, ask questions and see what is new.

Whether you are looking at your next detector, want advice on settings, fancy trying something different or just want to chat with people who live and breathe the hobby, the trade and demo areas will be a big part of the weekend.

NCMD Membership Required

For insurance purposes, all detectorists attending must have a valid NCMD membership/license on entry.

Please make sure your membership is active and available to show when you arrive. This is an important requirement and helps keep the event properly covered, safe and organised for everyone involved.

Duchy’s Dirty Weekends is being created by detectorists, for detectorists. We are putting everything into building something fresh, exciting and different for the UK detecting community — but events like this only happen when people get behind them.

Every ticket sold helps make the roadshow possible. The land, the toilets, the marquee, the music, the traders, the food, the bar, the planning and the atmosphere all come together because people choose to turn up, support it and be part of it.
